As the shop celebrates its sixth anniversary milestone, Christmas on The Lakes at Quarry Rigg, Bowness, has been ‘proudly’ featured in the national round up.

(Image: Carmen Hunt) The family-owned business is run by husband-and-wife team Chris and Carmen Hunt.

Their journey into creating a ‘magical world of Christmas’ began 20 years ago and has grown ever since.

The couple aspire to capture the essence of Christmas with an experience that goes beyond Christmas shopping.

(Image: Carmen Hunt) They pride themselves on carefully sourcing traditional items, unique treasures and bespoke decorations such as hand-painted, glass, Lake District baubles featuring some of the most iconic destinations in The Lakes.

Customers can make their purchases even more special with free personalisation, a perfect way to cherish memories such as ‘Baby’s First’ or ‘Our First as Mr & Mrs’.

Mr and Mrs Hunt said they have ‘invaluable’ support from family and friends.

“And of course our wonderful staff members who have been with us since the beginning of this amazing venture. Together, we bring the spirit of Christmas to life every day,” they said.

“Jessie is not just a part of our family, she’s our inspiration and the heart of our charitable efforts,” they said.

They proudly support ‘The Wainwright Shelter – Animal Rescue Cumbria’ as their chosen charity and donate £1 from every pet-related item sale to help other animals find loving homes.

They said: “This December, we look forward to hosting and singing carols with Burneside Brass at our Bowness Store and there is also still time to post your letter to Father Christmas in our Magic North Pole letter box, which ensures safe delivery, a personal reply and small gift from Father Christmas.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last six years and to those of you that we hope to welcome in the future.

“Together we will all bring the Spirit of Christmas to life every day and spread Christmas Cheer throughout the year.”
