Ally Pally is calling, and so are 96 of the world’s best darts players as the 32nd edition of the PDC World Darts Championship gets up and running in London, with defending champion and world number one Luke Humphries looking to win back-to-back titles after beating teenage sensation Luke Littler in last year’s final.

Humphries’ victory over a 16-year-old Littler in the January 2024 decider was one of the biggest stories to come out of darts for many a year, and with Littler now ranked fourth in the world having won the Premier League Darts competition earlier this year, get set for an extraordinary few weeks of world-class darts.

With the top 32 of the 96 players seeded, they’ll go straight into the second round to face the winning players from Round 1 as both play out simultaneously, leading into the Christmas break before the tournament-deciding matches are held in January 2025. The number of sets and legs per match increases with every two rounds, with the final set to be played in a first-to-seven, best-of-13 format.

As the world’s best players and the world’s most passionate darts fans prepare for one of the biggest events on the sporting calendar to welcome 2025 with a bang, The Sporting News has all the TV details you’ll need to follow every single throw from Ally Pally.
