The Telegraph recently listed St Ives’ high street as one of the best in the UK, featuring cobbled lanes, whitewashed buildings and indepedent shops.
“Fore Street in St Ives, with its slate-hung shops and independent galleries, has changed little over the last century, offering a perfect mix of local and artistic charm,” the publication wrote.
This gorgeous street is perfect for a winter wander without the crowds. While in summer St Ives is often crowded and hectic it won’t disappont in the cooler months.

While its beaches are often crowded with holidaymakers in the summer months, anyone taking a winter trip to this paradise will find their beach walks serene and peaceful – albeit a little cold, so make sure you rug up warm.
