Music entrepreneur Dre London and British rapper Blade Brown have debuted their Tequila brand Don Londres in the UK via an exclusive month-long listing with department store Selfridges.
Dre London, who is best known for managing global superstar Post Malone, co-founded Don Londres with rapper Blade Brown in 2023.
The Tequila, which is said to ‘embody a fusion of cultural richness and entrepreneurial spirit’, was created in collaboration with master distiller Francisco González, whose family has been a pioneer of premium Tequila production since 1905.
Dre London said his vision for Don Londres Tequila is deeply personal, and rooted in his journey as a self-made entrepreneur ‘who defied expectations’. He said he saw a parallel between creating hit records and crafting a spirit that resonates on a global scale: “For me, creating Don Londres was like producing an album. It’s about blending the right elements, respecting the craft, and delivering something unforgettable. Whether it’s music or Tequila, it’s all about authenticity and the connection you create with your audience. Don Londres represents that – heritage meets the grind.”
Commenting on the inspiration behind the creation of Don Londres, co-owner Brown added: “Tequila is about moments – celebrations, triumphs, and connections. It’s about the underdog spirit, the hustle, and staying true to who you are. That’s very much Dre’s and my life story, and now it’s our Tequila’s story.”
Distilled in Atotonilco el Alto in Jalisco, Don Londres Tequila is crafted from 100% Blue agave, and features no additives and no added sugar.
On the palate, citrus notes with the freshness of green mint, citrus, anise can be detected alongside subtle fruity tones, and a caramel-like sweetness on the finish. It is described as ‘uncharacteristically easy’ on the nose.
González said: “Our family’s tradition of Tequila-making spans generations. With Don Londres, we honour this legacy by crafting a spirit that reflects our commitment to quality and authenticity. We are excited to share this with the discerning palates of the UK.”
To celebrate the UK launch, Selfridges will invite customers to explore the distinct flavours and craftsmanship of Don Londres Tequila via a series of tastings held at The Wine Shop on the lower ground floor of Selfridges London on 3, 7 and 14 December from 3:15pm to 7:15pm, and on 21 December from 11am to 3pm. Tastings are strictly for those aged 18 and over.
Don Londres Blanco is sold at an RRP £55.99 (US$76), while and Don Londres Reposado is offered at RRP £75.99 (US$96). Both sit at at 40% ABV and will be available exclusively at Selfridges, both online and in-store, across locations in London, Manchester, and Birmingham from 3 December to 5 January 2025.
Following this period of exclusivity at Selfridges, Don Londres Tequila will continue to be available at Selfridges and will also be rolled out nationwide, becoming available at multiple leading retailers.
Don Londres isn’t the only brand to have struck a deal with Selfridges in recent months. In November, Stauning bottled a single cask rye whisky exclusively for the department store, while in September, Desi Daru vodka also secured a listing.
