Elon Musk could give Nigel Farage $100m in an attempt to make him the next prime minister as a “f**k you Starmer” payment, senior Conservative figures and business leaders fear.

It comes after Musk’s political action committee America Pac spent over $200m on funding Donald Trump’s US election campaign.

The world’s richest man has openly expressed his dislike for Keir Starmer, calling him “two-tier Keir” over the UK’s policing of certain groups.

He has publicly criticised Starmer’s early release of prisoners, linking this with the policing of free speech in the UK, with the tech tycoon tweeting about the issue in September.

“I don’t think anyone should go to the UK when they’re releasing convicted pedophiles in order to imprison people for social media posts,” he wrote.

He also suggested that the PM was setting up detainment camps for rioters in the Falkland Islands, a statement he was later forced to retract.

The Tesla mogul also appeared to endorse Nigel Farage’s Reform UK in a tweet responding to a post about former Conservative minister Andrea Jenkins joining the party.

The tweet from the “Inevitable West” account read: “BREAKING: Former Tory minister Andrea Jenkins has joined Reform UK. Reform will win the next election.”

Musk quoted the tweet and wrote “Yes” in response. His retweet garnered 167K likes and 56 million views.

Farage addressed the donation rumours yesterday, and said he was not sure if Musk would give money to Reform, but that the pair were good friends.

He told The Times: “All I can say is that I’m in touch with him and he is very supportive of my policy positions.”

“We both share a friendship with Donald Trump and Trump has said good things about me in front of Musk. We’ve got a good relationship with him.”

This donation could obliterate the Conservative Party

Allies of Farage and Conservative officials believe there is a credible prospect that Musk will go through with this contribution.

If the rumours are true, a donation of this size could turn Reform into the second party, obliterating the Conservatives as the main opponents to Labour.

Since donations from foreign individuals are illegal under UK election law, Musk would most likely make the move through the British branch of his social media company X.

Kemi Badenoch and her team are reportedly aware of the rumours.
