Luck has not been on Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi‘s side, especially this year. After the 2024 election results, where former President Donald Trump won, insiders alleged they got out of the US and moved to the UK. Insiders also alleged that their marriage was strained and that Degeneres’ comeback was lackluster, to say the least. And now, their new home for their new life is reportedly underwater.

As we said, Degeneres and Rossi moved to the UK, specifically buying a mansion in Cotswolds, England. However, the town has been ravaged by floods, with one local resident telling DailyMail, “The flood waters are rising by the hour. This is the worst I have seen it in years.”

Not much is known about their property, but knowing their past home purchases, it’s gotta be large and swanky. However, their dream home is allegedly surrounded by a swamp-like lake because of the flood.

Earlier this year, many raised eyebrows about their real estate moves, such as selling their $70 million mansion in Carpinteria, California, which they just bought in 2022. Along with that, they quietly set up their Montecito mansion to also be listed, according to The Wrap. A source told the outlet that the results of the 2024 presidential election were “their primary motivation” for leaving ahead of Trump’s second term in the White House.

And now, they’ve hit another major snag. But we just hope they’re safe, along with everyone else affected by the floods.
