These tourist attractions in the UK are among the most popular but what is it that Brits love so much?

New research from Camplify showed the top three tourist attractions in the UK which Brits are most proud of are The Lake District, Stonehenge and the Tower of London.

One in three believe the Lake District is the area the British public should be most proud of, highlighting its significant cultural and natural value.

This sentiment is closely followed by 22 percent of respondents who feel that Stonehenge is a strong contender for one of Britain’s top spots.

The Tower of London ranks in third place with 21 percent of people feeling most proud of this attraction.

Alastair McCausland, Chief Marketing Officer at Camplify UK, explained what makes these landmarks so special. He told Express.co.uk: “The Lake District, Stonehenge, and the Tower of London are iconic British landmarks that reflect our history, culture, and natural beauty in truly unique ways.

“The Lake District, with its stunning landscapes, has inspired generations of writers and artists, and remains a central part of Britain’s literary and natural heritage.

“Stonehenge, with its ancient stones standing tall for over 5,000 years, offers a fascinating glimpse into the mysterious lives of our ancestors and their spiritual beliefs.

“The Tower of London, meanwhile, is steeped in centuries of royal history, from its origins as a fortress to its role in shaping the story of our nation.

“What makes these sites special is their ability to tell the story of what it means to be British. Whether through our love for the outdoors or for our rich history, they continue to attract thousands of holidaymakers who want to experience them in person.”
