Former talk show host  Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, are relocating to the United Kingdom, with sources indicating the move was due to couple’s disgust with the United States’ current political climate following the 2024 election results. President-elect Donald Trump defeat his opponent Vice President Kamala Harris.

The pair, who were affected earlier this year by allegations from DeGeneres’ former staffers, reportedly have purchased a home in the Cotswolds, a quite region in Southwest England approximately two hours from London, acquiring the property prior to the election.

Sources close to the couple told The Wrap that they are “very disillusioned” with the political climate, with one source stating they decided “to get the h–l out.”

DeGeneres, who was a prominent donor to Vice President Harris, previously expressed strong support for the Presidential candidate.

In July, when Harris was selected to be the Democratic nominee, DeGeneres wrote took to social media to voice her support.

Earlier this month President-elect Trump stated that he won a “magnificent victory for the American people” in the US election and promised to “help our country heal.”

Trump made the speech after winning the key swing states of Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia.

Speaking from his watch party in West Palm Beach, Florida, Trump said he would fix the country and its borders, calling his comeback “the greatest political movement of all time.”
