A senior Hamas official said Friday the group was ready to strike a peace deal with Israel. Hamas political bureau member Bassem Naim told news agency AFP that he wanted US President-elect Donald Trump to press Israel to “end the aggression”. The UK PM office issued an apology for serving meat and alcohol at its annual Diwali celebration last month. A spokesperson on Friday acknowledged the “mistake”. He further assured that measures would be taken to prevent such oversights in the future.
