Full list of Tube closures and travel disruption from November 15-17

Nothing gets people in a weekend mood quite like Tube closures in London.

Several major London Underground lines and stations will be closed or partly closed as TfL carries out routine repairs on Saturday and Sunday.

In this rainbow of closures, the Overground and Elizabeth line will also be partly shut and see fewer trains on the tracks.

On top of this, the lifeline of many a holidaymaker, the Heathrow Express, won’t be running at all.

When grouped together, all these closures make it out that London’s transport network will be paralysed and the city will descend into a Purge-grade Armageddon.

But don’t worry, you have options. Here’s everything you need to know about the train disruption in London this weekend:

Saturday, November 16:

Bakerloo line:

No service between Queens Park and Harrow and Wealdstone. But TfL has thrown anyone living locally a rope in the form of the special bus service 718 which will zip between the two northwest London stations.

London Northwestern Railway and Southern services will still run from Harrow and Wealdstone as if nothing was wrong.

Northern line:

Between 1.15am and 3.45am, there will be no service between Camden Town and High Barnet. Night owls are advised to hop on the N20 instead.

From 3.45am, there will be no trains running between Archway and High Barnet in north London.

London Overground:

A small timetable tweak as the 12.14am last train from Stratford to Willesden Junction will terminate at Camden Road at 12.37am. 

For all of Saturday, the Overground won’t run between Euston and Watford Junction. Similar to the Bakerloo line, North Western Railway or Southern services are good alternatives.

Elizabeth line:

Bad news for people hoping to get out of the UK as there will be no service between Hayes and Harlington and Heathrow (All Terminals). The Piccadilly line will be running as normal to the airport, though.

Ealing Broadway, Southall and Hayes and Harlington will be served by six trains an hour, while only four trains and hour will run to West Ealing.

DLR:

No service between Canning Town and Stratford International.

Waterloo and City line:

Given the line is designed with commuters in mind, it isn’t running at all Saturday.

Heathrow Express:

The airport service won’t be running in either direction due to engineering works.

Sunday, November 17

Elizabeth line:

The hardest hit by closures by far, there won’t be any trains between Reading / Heathrow (all terminals) and Abbey Wood / Stratford until 7am.

There will still be no service either between Hayes & Harlington and Heathrow (All Terminals).

Fewer trains will run between Ealing Broadway and Hayes and Harlington just like on Saturday. West Ealing, Southall and Hayes and Harlington will see only four trains an hour chug by.

London Overground:

Three main arcs of the Overground will be hobbled Sunday. Not a single train will run between Willesden Junction and Watford Junction. 

Until 2.30pm, there will be no service between east London’s Barking and Barking Riverside stations.

While no trains will operate between Gospel Oak and Barking Riverside from 8pm until the end of the day.

Waterloo and City line:

Surprise, surprise, it is still closed. Service operates Monday to Friday between 6am and 12:30am only.
