Welcome to Metro’s travel news blog, where we’re bringing you the latest on a major London Underground line experiencing delays and M25 traffic.

A signal failure on the Northern line has plunged this key way for north and south Londoners to get around into chaos, severely delaying trains northbound only between Kennington and Camden Town via Bank.

Elsewhere, the Bakerloo line is seeing minor delays, TfL says, between Queen’s Park and Elephant & Castle southbound due to a signal failure.

A pile-up is forming on the M25 after a vehicle caught on fire, with major congestion expected to ease by 7.30am. This is mainly affecting the motorway anticlockwise between junctions 16 and 15, with one lane closed.
