This will be achieved by adopting the SEC values which include collaborating across different teams within the business to exceed all customer expectations.


Role Summary

To operate within the Live Entertainment Sales Team, committed to the Company’s strategic business objectives, including being an ambassador for our culture and values at all times.

The Live Entertainment Programming Manager will maximise sales revenue within the events sector of existing clients, as well as developing new business streams within the Live Entertainment sector which will profit the SEC Campus.

The prime responsibility will be to develop profitable business streams and maximise sales revenue within the Live Entertainment sector of the SEC’s business. You will also be responsible for identifying and developing new revenue opportunities in order to stay aligned with Gross Profit Targets and other strategic requirements of the business, with specific focus on pipeline non-core events suitable for all SEC venues.

Responsibilities
  • Primarily responsible for managing, administering and developing both new business opportunities, special events and the recurring events of existing sales accounts with the aim of maximising Live Entertainment tenancy and revenue.
  • Review the findings of the internal analysis of SEC’s Live Entertainment market share position, event trends and promoter share to identify new business opportunities, with existing or altogether new clients to attract suitable and profitable business for our venues.
  • Contribute to the development of a pipeline of added-value sales opportunities, present compelling and commercially viable propositions and convert these to profitable business streams.
  • To develop and maintain strong working relationships with our clients and relevant members of the team.
  • To understand and be fully aware of the client’s objectives, future plans and financial situation.
  • To be aware of the client’s company structure and show portfolio/roster.
  • To be aware of any problems the client may have in relation to their shows at our venues.
  • To keep up to date with clients show progression both in the SEC and elsewhere in the UK.
  • To keep clients informed of all services available and changes at the SEC.
  • To advise clients of how the SEC operates.
  • To maximise client spend within the SEC.
  • To be commercially aware and actively contribute to achieving Sales and Gross Profit targets by managing costs per event with the event manager.
  • Maximise ticketing revenue through events held at the SEC.
  • To advise The Head of Live Entertainment Programming on market trends and keep her/him updated on all Accounts.
  • To regularly develop and maintain the CRM database in an effort to support the primary sales function.
  • To attend appropriate trade fairs, meetings and social functions relating to the business.
  • To liaise with clients whilst on site for events and assist the event manager on the discussion around final show costs at settlement.
  • To undertake any other duties that is deemed to be within the scope and responsibility of the role, and within the expectations of management.
