The popular Amazon Prime series is now in its fourth season and centres around the titular ‘Boys’ as they face a series of villainous superheroes.
Curry was cast as Firecracker in the latest season of The Boys, a right-wing antagonist who tries to gain the confidence of primary antagonist Homelander (Antony Starr) by promising him sexual favours.
According to Curry in her Instagram story, two people at the event repeatedly made an inappropriate request to the Californian actress during her appearance at the weekend’s convention held in Lisburn.
She said the fans seemingly hassled her about some of her more controversial scenes.
In a video posted to Instagram on Saturday evening, she said: “I just got back from the first day of Comic Con in Northern Ireland. By and large everyone was fantastic. But we do need to talk about boundaries and what is appropriate in terms of behaviour.
“I know people saw a character I played do some pretty extreme things on The Boys.
“I don’t care if you are in costume, I don’t care if you are in character – it is not OK and it is not funny to have demanded those things from me in person at my booth.
“Frankly, to the person who did that repeatedly today, I made it pretty clear it wasn’t ok and that only seemed to make this person and their friend angry.
“I didn’t think this needed to be explained, but I was deeply uncomfortable – it was quite clear I was uncomfortable.”
Curry was appearing at Comic Con Northern Ireland, on both days of the event, on September 7 and 8.
The event, which boasts many celebrity guests and sees fans don the outfits of their favourite characters, was held in the Eikon Centre in Lisburn.
Many guest stars – including Doctor Who stars Jodie Whittaker and Billie Piper, and Lord of the Rings and Star Wars actor Andy Serkis – were there to give autographs and take pictures with fans.
Curry said that she has only started appearing at conventions by herself and “everyone for the most part has been so lovely and so kind and respectful”.
Although she wants to do more in the future, she said she struggles to see this happening if fans keep making her feel uncomfortable.
She said: “I really want to be able to do these, honestly, I really love it.
“I am not going to be able to do this if people are acting this way because it makes me so uncomfortable and honestly you should know much better.
“Everybody else knows better, I don’t know what reaction you were looking for – nobody was laughing.”
Curry thanked all the fans who met her without acting disrespectfully, as she wrapped up the video.
She said: “That said, thank you to everyone who I have met today, who I have met at past conventions. Everyone who is so respectful and kind and who would never dream of acting this way.
“If you are thinking about it, if you think it is going to be a bit or a moment it is not and it is honestly just going to make me feel bad.
“Please think about that before coming up to talk to me. Think about what is appropriate and professional.”
