WTR Group has marked its expansion into the UK and Ireland with its acquisition of a pump supplier.

Euroflo has joined WTR Group as one of the founding UK companies and will serve as a base for WTR to increase its presence.

The Swedish provider of products, services and solutions for the water and wastewater industries will have its UK office based in Warwick.

WTR is backed by Aspira Partners, a private equity investor with a focus on smaller to mid-sized, founder-driven, entities in the Nordics.

Khashayar Nikavar, COO of WTR Group said: “We are very impressed with the company and its exceptional team, which has been built over a long time. Euroflo is a strong entrepreneurial company with a solid position in the UK market and we are excited to be able to support the team in their continued growth. Additionally, this marks WTR’s entry into the UK market where we see large potential for future growth”.

Joseph Lavelle said: “We are very glad to have partnered with WTR group. We get access to knowledge and support from within the industry and can at the same time continue to build and grow Euroflo. We see large growth potential in UK and Ireland and look forward to the journey with WTR”.

The Thursfields team was led by Gareth Burge with support from Joe Rollins and Michael Kokkinoftas (corporate), Ben Lyons (commercial real estate) and Lisa Moore (employment).

Gareth Burge said: “We are delighted to have supported WTR on this latest transaction, which marks the starting point for its expansion into the UK and Ireland. It has been a pleasure working with the WTR and Aspira teams and we look forward to supporting the future growth of the group.”

Financial and tax advice to WTR Group was provided by Wilson Partners. The sellers of Euroflo Fluid Handling were advised by Bird & Bird.
