No, don’t worry – it’s not just you. The Lloyds Bank app really is down right now with many customers unable to use the banking service.

According to users of the popular finance app, Lloyds is experiencing some serious technical difficulties this morning – leaving frustrated customers unable to see their recent transactions, casuing major confusion when transferring money and checking balances.

Reports of issues were reported from about 7am on Monday morning via the website Down Detector, where the public can flag problems with various tech software and products. As of 10am, hundered of reports had been logged.

“@LloydsBank I can’t move any money over to pay my bills! What time do i have until until they bounce?”, one customer posted on X, formerly Twitter.

The UK bank confirmed the issue to Express.co.uk.

“We know some of our customers are having issues viewing their recent transactions and our app may be running slower than usual,” a Lloyds Bank spokesperson said. “We’re sorry about this and we’re working to have everything back to normal soon.”

“I cannot see any transactions and the September tab also shows nothing. Do we have a timescale of when this might be fixed”, asked Lloyds customer @Susan21391131 on X.

“We don’t have a timeframe I’m sorry Susan, but our tech team are working hard to get this resolved ASAP,” the official Lloyds account replied.

The issues are reportedly also affecting banking via Lloyds’ website, not just the apps for iPhone and Android. It’s appears transfers and functionality are working, but customers cannot view their most up to date statements and transactions, causing worry and confusion.

In a post on X, the Lloyds Bank page replied to another frustrated customer confirming issues with the smartphone and tablet app.

“We are aware there is an issue and our IT team are currently working to fix this as soon as possible,” the bank said.

Others reported issues with standing orders, but Lloyds said on X it was not aware of problems affected this function.

It has been common in recent years for users to report banking app crashes online and for the banks’ social media teams to bear the brunt of queries while the instiution stays quiet. Express.co.uk has approached Lloyds Bank for comment on this latest reported outage.
