The homes are to cost between £160,000 and £190,000

Carncormick Meadow is set to create 60 new jobs

The first homes at Carncormick Meadow are due to be completed by the end of 2024

The entire development at Carncormick Meadow will cost around £8m

A new £8m housing development in Co Antrim is set to create 60 jobs over the next two years, it’s been announced.

Initial work has begun on Carncormick Meadow, located off the Gortnageeragh Road in Cargan near Ballymena.

The 53 homes will cost between £160,000 and £190,000 each, and will include three-bedroom semi-detached and detached houses.

The project is being run by property developer Hagan Homes, a company founded over 30 years ago that has built more than 5,000 homes in Northern Ireland.

Hagan Homes say that the properties in Carncomick Meadow will be fitted with a smart heating control system and be pre-wired for BT, Sky Q and full-fibre broadband.

They also say that the houses will be energy performance certificate (EPC) A-rated in a bid to lower fuel bills for prospective home owners.

The first homes at Carncormick Meadow are due to be completed by the end of 2024

The showhome for the development is due to open in October, and the first batch of homes is scheduled for completion in November and December of 2024.

The project as a whole aims to complete by 2026.

Jim Burke, director of sales and acquisitions at Hagan Homes, said, “We are thrilled to bring Carncormick Meadow to the Cargan area.

“This development illustrates our commitment to building high-quality homes that meet the needs of modern families while integrating seamlessly with the natural beauty of the surrounding area.

“We look forward to welcoming the first homeowners and seeing this community flourish. We anticipate the first handovers to take place this winter.”
