J+S Subsea has recently been granted Fit for Offshore Renewable (F4OR) status by the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult, having achieved the F4OR standard to have in place the key management systems and competencies required for success in the sector.

The F4OR scheme is a unique service designed to help UK companies bid for and deliver work for renewable energy customers.  Its objective is to help develop competency, capability and competitiveness in the supply chain whilst maximising opportunities on domestic and international stages.

The latest announcement further underlines J+S Subsea’s commitment to grow in the renewables, decommissioning and other sectors as part of its journey towards achieving revenues of upwards of £10 million.

The news continues a momentous year for the ambitious Kintore-based company, with notable achievements to date also including lifting one of the most sought-after accolades at this year’s Subsea Expo Awards.  J+S Subsea was crowned Company of the Year (under 50 employees) while Environmental and Sustainability Adviser Kairvee Tyagi was named as the winner of the Rising Star category.

J+S Subsea also recording a hat-trick of finalist’s places in the prestigious Centre for Engineering, Education & Development (CeeD) Awards 2024; was highly commended in the prestigious Offshore Achievement Awards in the category for Exceptional SME/Founder and won the Sustainability Award at the Decom Mission awards last year.

Commenting on the news, J+S Subsea Business Development Director Lucinda Craig said: “The immersive, 18-month process of participating in F4OR has empowered us to sharpen our focus on what we are working to achieve, and how.  We are confident that our F4OR granted status will underpin those efforts to succeed in this important market.”

Davood Sabaei, Supply Chain Programme Manager, Development & Operations and Fit for Offshore Renewables (F4OR) programme lead at ORE Catapult said: “Our warmest congratulations to the J+S Subsea team on reaching this key milestone in their journey to expand their presence in the renewables market, having worked diligently with our extended team of expert advisers over our rigorous 18-month Fit for Offfshore Renewables (F4OR) programme.

“Achieving ‘granted’ status demonstrates to the industry that they have acquired the necessary knowledge and competencies, as well having embedded the systems, processes and leadership necessary to successfully do business in this highly skilled and growing sector.”
