Nigel Farage the leader of Reform UK has won the Essex seat of Clacton after winning a majority of almost 10,000, which has turned out to be a “huge” night for the party.

Farage has been elected as an MP on his eighth attempt as he won with 21,225 votes snatching the seat from the Tories who had 12,820 votes.

Farage said, “I think what Reform UK has achieved in just a few short weeks is truly extraordinary.

He added: “There’s no enthusiasm for Labour whatsoever. This Labour government will be in trouble – very, very quickly. We’re coming for Labour, be in no doubt about that.

“This is just the first step of something that’s going to stun all of you.”

The former US  President Donald Trump congratulated his friend Farage following his win in Clacton.

Trump wrote on his social media platform TruthSocial, “Congratulations to Nigel Farage on his big WIN of a Parliament Seat Amid Reform UK Election Success. Nigel is a man who truly loves his Country! DJT.”

The parts of the UK where Reform UK did not win, they have clinched into areas to get the lion’s share of Conservative votes.

Reform UK are now in third place across the North East and are in fourth for Gateshead Central & Whickham.

Farage wrote on X, “It’s midnight, there are two results in from the northeast of England that put Reform on 30% of the vote, that is way more than any possible prediction or projection. It is almost unbelievable.

“And what does it mean? It means we’re going to win seats – many, many seats I think – right now across the country.”

He added, “This is going to be six million votes plus. This folks is huge.”
