ABERDEEN-based business applications support firm Escone Solutions has secured £300,000 of renewed business, as well as a major new contract with one of the UK’s leading providers of business process services.

The renewals mean that Escone will continue to provide support for existing clients Transport UK/SOLVD, Denholm Seafoods, the Scottish Football Association, and Great Places Housing while the new agreement has boosted growth plans for its client portfolio.

Meanwhile, the South College Street business has strengthened its commercial team with the appointment of experienced business development consultant and management accountant Max Findlay, bringing valuable expertise to Escone, supporting its expansion, and enhancing the range of services on offer to clients.

Max has spent more than 27 years with OneAdvanced, working in the account management team looking after customers across the UK. Having first implemented OpenAccounts 30 years ago, he has an extensive knowledge of the product along with the broader financial systems landscape.

This is not his first collaboration with Escone’s co-founders and Directors, Kevin Wyness and Mike Charles. Max and Kevin’s paths first crossed in 1979, while both were studying at university in Aberdeen. He later worked with both Mike and Kevin at Grampian Software before it was acquired by OneAdvanced.

Mike said: “This is an exciting time for Escone Solutions. Our dedicated team works exceptionally hard to deliver the best possible service that we can for our clients and partners.

“The renewal of contracts and the strengthening of our relationships reflect our success in this area and have allowed us the opportunity to sign agreements with new businesses. As we enter the next phase of our growth, we’ve made strategic appointments to enhance our services and solutions.

“Bringing Max on board underscores our commitment to expanding into new markets and contributing to the rejuvenation of Aberdeen by continuing to employ passionate and talented individuals.”

Max said: “I am absolutely delighted to be reunited with my good friends Kevin and Mike. Escone Solutions is a company that customers enjoy working with. The relationships they have with clients are built on trust and an excellent quality of work and that is why I was keen to join the team.

“The company is growing and will continue to do so as customers seek value for their money, and I look forward to being part of that.”
