July is always a time when employees start to feel itchy feet. As the summer holidays kick off, a few days spent lounging by the side of the pool can trigger daydreams about a more exciting and meaningful job opportunity.

Of course, we’re biased. But applying to one of the UK’s top startups is the best way to achieve this ambition. Startups tend to be purpose-led and solution-oriented, guaranteeing greater job satisfaction to those who are aligned with their mission.

July is also the month that many graduates put away the revision books and start applying for their first role. Startups are ideal employers to have on your CV. Their thinner workforce will often be required to juggle multiple roles, upskilling employees in record time.

Below, we’ve listed 139 jobs spanning multiple industries and experience levels, at the UK’s most exciting startup companies. Cover letters at the ready, folks!

Revolut

  • Where is it based? London (Canary Wharf)
  • Can you work there remotely? Yes

Fintech darling and former Startups 100 winner Revolut has made no secret of the fact that it’s planning a big hiring spree this summer. According to the banking brand, it aims to expand its global workforce by 40% in 2024.

Revolut is one of the UK’s most successful startups and its positions will likely be competitive. However, the company is offering plenty of incentives to sweeten the deal for applicants, including a newly-announced premium office which will open next March.

There are currently 63 vacancies being advertised on the Revolut career portal, 57 of which can be done remotely or at Revolut’s swanky new office in central London, and six which are fully office-based. Here’s a quick look at some of the types of roles available:

Remote or in-office jobs at Revolut:

  • Account Executive (SMB)
  • Designer (Product)
  • Business Risk Manager
  • Product Marketing Manager
  • Finance Manager
  • Legal Counsel (Regulatory)
  • Senior UX Copywriter
  • Designer (Graphics)

Fully in-office jobs at Revolut:

  • Legal Counsel (Corporate)
  • Algo Trader
  • FinCrime Manager

Monzo

  • Where is it based? London (Liverpool Street) and Cardiff
  • Can you work there remotely? Yes

Hot on the heels of Revolut is Monzo Bank. Another Startups 100 alumni, the bank reached a critical milestone by becoming profitable at the start of last month, and its staffing costs have also reportedly risen by 47% in 2024 due to a similarly supercharged recruitment drive.

Employee benefits are a big part of choosing to work at Monzo. The business offers all employees one month of unpaid leave each year, a generous employer pension match of up to 6%, and plenty of soft perks including free yoga classes and bi-weekly free hot lunches.

Monzo has offices in both Cardiff and London (and San Francisco, for those who are looking across the pond). It is currently advertising for 38 vacancies. 17 are hybrid roles based in London, and 21 can be done from any location. Here’s a quick snapshot of what’s available:

  • Engineering Manager
  • Senior Backend Engineer
  • Payments Operation Manager
  • Senior Product Manager
  • Finance Transformation Project Manager
  • Senior Brand PR Manager (London-based)

Yonder

  • Where is it based? Old Street, London
  • Can you work there remotely? All roles are hybrid (3 days a week in-office)

Finishing off the fintech trifecta is Yonder, the newest (but no less exciting) challenger brand that was founded just four years ago. It’s a rewards credit card with a difference; the three founders set out to make an easy sign up for young people and immigrants to access credit.

From humble beginnings, Yonder has since gained the backing of big names like Rio Ferdinand and raised a huge £62.5m in funding. It launched in Manchester, Birmingham, and Bristol this year, and is eyeing up the US next.

The startup is hiring six hybrid positions across marketing, engineering, and finance this July, which you can apply for on the Yonder website. These are:

  • Head of Engineering, Frontend
  • Manager, Dining Partnerships
  • Product Manager
  • Senior Credit Risk Manager
  • Senior Frontend Engineer
  • Senior Performance Marketing Manager

Lottie

One reason why people choose to work at a startup is they are often purpose-led. That includes Lottie, a care home marketplace on a mission to fix the broken social care system.

Founded by the Donnelly brothers, both want to take the stress out of finding care for your loved ones. But forget the image of a tired nursing home. They’re using innovative tech to engineer a modern solution, breathing new life into an aged sector.

As you’d expect, Lottie takes good care of its workers – especially parents. It offers enhanced paternity and maternity leave, a generous leave allowance for carers, and a workplace nursery scheme. This July, Lottie is hiring two engineering roles:

Pasta Evangelists

  • Where is it based? Acton, west London
  • Can you work there remotely? All roles are permanently onsite

Foodies are welcome at Pasta Evangelists, one of the UK’s fastest-growing food startups. Founded in 2016, the Evangelists have set out to bring the real taste of Italy to Brits. If you feel passionately that the penne in your pantry needs improving, this job could be for you.

There are plenty of benefits to applying, but the real cherry tomato on top is that it promises a straightforward, four-stage interview process, so you can get the meatball rolling on your application. In July, the company is hiring two senior roles at its Head Office:

Wild

Wild shower gel

  • Where is it based? Brixton, south London
  • Can you work there remotely? All roles are hybrid (3 days a week in-office)

Sustainable deodorant brand, Wild is a young company, having launched just five years ago. That’s one reason why it managed to deliver a fresh spin to the healthcare market, when it launched the UK’s first-ever single-use, plastic-free, fully compostable all-natural deodorant.

Wild is keeping itself young by hiring a whole host of entry-level jobs in July, all of which would be perfect for new graduates. Gen Z feels strongly about the environment and Wild wants to reduce plastic waste first; make everyone smell great second.

Like every person you know in their mid 20s, Wild is also planning a move down under. Expansion into Australia is reportedly imminent. 10 jobs are now live on Wild’s career portal. Those who connect strongly with the brand can also fill out a speculative application:

  • Finance Assistant
  • Customer Experience Executive (German speaking)
  • Creative / Photography Lead
  • DACH Senior Operations Executive
  • Influencer Marketing Manager (UK)
  • Senior Operations Manager (EU)
  • Supply Chain Manager
  • NPD Manager
  • Influencer Marketing Executive (FR)
  • Videographer

Packfleet

Packfleet

  • Where is it based? Bermondsey, south-east London
  • Can you work there remotely? All roles are hybrid (2 days a week in-office)

Packfleet has zoomed into the Startups 100 Index twice since it was first founded in 2021 by ex-Monzo employee, Tristan Thomas. Since then, it has stamped out a name for itself as an ethical, green-powered courier service that wants to end the exploitative work conditions that legacy courier brands have made standard within the delivery sector.

If that mission chimes with you, Packfleet wants to hear it. The company is hiring seven roles in July, including two entry-level sales and marketing executives with salaries of up to £60,000 with commission. Here are all the positions listed on the Packfleet career portal:

  • Account Executive
  • Customer Operations Manager
  • Delivery Driver
  • Head of Sales
  • Live Operations Specialist
  • Operations Manager
  • Sales Executive

Jubel Beer

  • Where is it based? Kennington, south London
  • Can you work there remotely? No, all roles are field based

Fancy working for a disruptive, energetic alcohol brand? Our pubs, bars, and supermarkets have been stocked with the same tired old-man labels for too long. Jubel Beer’s refreshing, peach-infused larger is changing that, by offering younger Brits a lighter, low-calorie option.

Jubel has already proved to be a big hit with customers and its growth story is just getting started. This July, it’s asking bold and creative job seekers who are “thirsty” for success to apply for six entry-level and junior job roles advertised in its career portal. These are:

  • Off Trade Field Sales Executive
  • Field Marketing Executive (Music & Culture)
  • South London Business Development Manager
  • London Trade Activation Executive
  • Bristol Key Account Manager
  • Student Brand Ambassador

Farewill

  • Where is it based? Haggerston, east London
  • Can you work there remotely? All London-based roles are hybrid (2 days a week in-office)

Understandably, the idea of working in the death industry can sound a bit, well, dead. But it’s also an area that’s experiencing huge change at the moment, thanks to innovative startups such as Farewill who are disrupting the idea of how we approach death planning.

Farewill, which we made a Startups 100 company in 2021, has designed a friendly, empathetic will writing platform to make funeral planning and probate applications a less painful experience for the bereaved. Even, perhaps, a positive one. Farewill has helped to raise £1bn in customer pledges for charities such as Cancer Research.

This July, Farewill is hoping to fill five vacancies across its legal, data, and marketing teams:

  • Legal Counsel, Wills & Probate
  • Senior Paralegal, Corporate & Commercial
  • Content Research Design
  • Senior Product Designer
  • Account Executive
  • Data Analyst
