One of the most critical steps in ascertaining how AI should be in the future is the United Kingdom’s anticipated plea for companies to implement strict AI safety standards at the AI Seoul Summit 2022. This event, to be co-hosted on 21-22 May 2022 by the United Kingdom and the Republic of Korea, will enable more world leaders to get involved in the critical conversation on AI governance.

AI Seoul Summit will strive to continue to pursue the mission and vision for the AI Safety Summit to uphold the use of AI for safety further, and the first AI Safety Summit in November 2023 at Bletchley Park accomplished this. The governments of the AI technologies and solutions possible future application areas in various countries across the continent will be invited; leading companies, academia, and civil society, as well as the governments in the development of different AI technologies and solutions, will be encouraged to promote debates around the implementation of various AI technologies across multiple security sectors. The decision made by the UK follows the overarching focus on the urgent requirement for a broader supranational AI policy, which focuses on a multipronged approach to regulating technology through various industries.
