Tourists are often the target of pickpockets with 87 percent of travellers saying they take steps to protect themselves and their valuables while on holiday. 

Although many holidays to Europe are trouble-free, there’s always the risk of having an item stolen. According to new research from Quotezone.co.uk, Italy is the European country where tourists are most likely to be pickpocketed

Famous attractions are some of the worst spots for pickpockets as tourists are likely to be distracted and part of a huge crowd of people. 

Quotezone.co.uk analysed Tripadvisor reviews to find which of Europe’s top attractions are most likely to be targeted by pickpockets.
