Bet of the day
Blackpool to beat Barnsley – 19/20
Blackpool remain in the League One play-off hunt heading into the penultimate round of fixtures and they can secure a crucial victory at home to Barnsley, who are five points ahead of them in the standings.
The Tangerines have racked up three consecutive 1-0 victories ahead of the Tykes’ visit and are on a five-game unbeaten run at Bloomfield Road, winning three times and keeping four clean sheets.
Barnsley are limping towards the play-offs, winning just one of their last seven matches, and they could slip to a fourth away defeat on the spin, potentially putting their top-six spot in jeopardy.
Special of the day
Luton v Brentford – Bet Builder: Luton to win, BTTS & over 2.5 Brentford cards – 21/2
Victory for Luton against Brentford on Saturday would lift the Hatters out of the Premier League relegation zone and it is an opportunity they can take with both hands at Kenilworth Road, where they have collected four points from the last two outings.
Brentford have won just one of their last 11 away league games and have kept just three clean sheets in 16 attempts on their travels, while their haul of 11 away points is the fifth-worst in the Premier League.
Goals could also be in plentiful supply in Bedfordshire. Luton have scored in 17 of their 19 home fixtures in all competitions while Brentford have failed to find the net in just one of their last eight away top-flight assignments.
Thomas Frank’s troops have lacked discipline, picking up 81 yellow cards at an average just shy of 2.5 per match, and they may receive at least three cautions in what should be an open contest.
Long shot of the day
Clermont to beat Lens – 15/2
Rock-bottom Clermont are still fighting to stay in Ligue 1 and they could spring a surprise when they head to Lens, who have collected just one point from the last 12 on offer.
Despite propping up the French top flight, the Lancers have picked up back-to-back draws heading into this contest, one of which came against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes.
Lens have won just one of their last five home matches, providing the chasing pack with a chance to catch them in the hunt for a European finish, and they could be in for a shock when Clermont visit.
