Best UK Retailer/Technology Supplier Relationship shortlist as follows:

This award recognises a successful partnership between a retailer and a technology supplier, with an emphasis on the last 12 months and how said partnership has gone from strength to strength during that period.

Pricer and East of England Co-op

East of England Co-op wanted to improve operational efficiencies within its food stores, seeking to automate pricing and promotions to divert staff time away from manual tasks, i.e. updating paper labels, to focus efforts on customer service delivery.

Partnering with Pricer to deploy ESLs, the co-operative’s digital shelf edge now delivers real-time pricing, improving labour productivity and reducing time spent maintaining the shelf by 70%, while ensuring pricing accuracy and compliance.

Proximity and Joseph

Proximity’s Retail Super-App is a comprehensive customer engagement platform that helps sales associates deliver personalised shopping experiences in-store and online.

SymphonyAI and Southern Co-op

Southern Co-op wanted modern, AI driven technology that would provide leading functionality for assortment and space planning, stock levels, and shelf layouts for each store to meet unique shopper preferences.

It was looking for automation to provide tailored planograms without adding headcount and that could be rapidly implemented.

TCS and Primark

TCS and Primark have collaborated since 2016 to deliver business value by establishing a clear working relationship. From the initial stage of operational services for the integration area, Primark and TCS’s collaboration has developed into a strategic partnership as of 2024.

True Fit and Lucy & Yak

British independent clothing brand, Lucy & Yak, has leveraged artificial intelligence (AI) powered fit recommendations from True Fit.

It is using the company’s Fashion Genome offering, spanning over 82 million shoppers (active users) and 20,000+ brands, which delivers fit recommendations to online customers, based on their unique size and fit preferences.

Vista Technology Support and Paddy Power

Paddy Power, Vista Technology Support and Store Computer Technology (SCT) have enjoyed a long and beneficial IT services partnership and in June 2023 embarked on a demanding IT services collaboration and technology refresh project.

VoCoVo and Iceland

When Iceland sought to improve efficiency and colleague well-being, it turned to VoCoVo to form a partnership. It previously used bulky two-way radios, however the lack of longevity, poor audio and limited privacy made them unsuitable for the supermarket’s connected store programme.

The relationship between VoCoVo and Iceland resulted in the deployment of the Series 5 Pro Headset and additional capabilities, connecting teams across all 974 stores.
